From
marching bands to working with social concerns and immigrant families,
my life with the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Sisters has
been full of opportunities to see how God's work is done by transforming
one person at a time. I'm continuing the mission…
At
28, I was a waitress and had never considered becoming a Nun. I was
attracted to the Dominicans by the way they served God through their
justice initiatives. With my Ph. D. in Philosophy and Religion,
I want to work toward justice and peace for all members of the Earth
community. I'm continuing the mission…
As
a Sister of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Houston, I went into
healthcare as a way that I could serve God. Through my nursing and
occupational therapy degrees, I have been able to help people with
both physical and spiritual needs.
I'm continuing the mission… As
a teacher, I saw how the unfair system left some people with a bleak
future unless something changed. As a Sister of Divine Providence,
I received my Masters Degree in Social Work and even lobbied in Washington,
DC to bring about much needed positive changes. I'm continuing the
mission…
